Shillong, March 3: Ka Sur U Paidbah Hynniewtrep (Voice of the Hynniewtrep people) has extended support to the non NPP-BJP alliance to form a corruption free government.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, the advisor of the group , Erwin Sutnga said there should be a corruption free government and wondered as to what made the BJP which was crying foul to support the NPP.
Sutnga reminded that the BJP leaders had said the NPP-led government was the most corrupt and now the same BJP is supporting the NPP.
In this context, Sutnga said the BJP should not disturb the new alliance if it believes in a corruption free government.
When asked about NPP emerging as the single largest party, Sutnga said the party secured 26 seats through inducements by way of distribution of money, liquor and other incentives.
He said there is a need to review the border deal and ensure transparency on matters related to coal mining which only a non NPP-BJP government can do.
