Shillong, May 12: The VPP on Friday wanted the government to issue a notification within 48 hours to stop all recruitment process till issues related to roster system and reservation policy are resolved.

Subject: Stop all Recruitment process
Respected Sir,
With reference to the subject mentioned, on behalf of the party, I request you to kindly take all necessary action to put a stop to all recruitment process that is currently going on in several government departments / organizations / institutions until the vexed and pertinent issue on Roster System and Job Reservation Policy is deliberated threadbare and resolve. In the best interest of all the stakeholders, especially the youth of the state, we solicit a notification to this effect be issued within 48 hours.
Furthermore, I wish to draw your kind attention to the letter No VPP/Cor /20223-1 Dated 6.4.2023 wherein we had requested you as the Head of the Government to take initiative in convening a special session of the State Assembly in order to allow members to deliberate and resolve the issue. However, it is quite unfortunate that even after a month passed by; there has been no response to our letter from your office.
