New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI): Indian men’s cricket team head coach and former cricketer Rahul Dravid turned 49 on Tuesday.
Birthday greetings poured in for ‘The Wall’ of Indian cricket as master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Olympian Abhinav Bindra and others wished the former captain on social media.
Tendulkar shared a throwback picture with a caption: “A very happy birthday to you Jammy. Wish you the best of health and good luck for the 3rd Test.”
Former India cricketer Venkatesh Prasad tweeted: “Birthday greetings to a thorough gentleman and a role-model for many youngsters, Rahul Dravid. Wishing Rahul ever more love and good fortune.”
Beijing Olympic gold medallist shooter Bindra wrote: “Warm birthday wishes to Rahul Dravid, the man who taught an entire generation the art of perseverance and patience. Watching him go about his business is the best advertisement on how to approach sport as well as life.”
Dinesh Karthik shared a hilarious birthday wish by posting a screenshot of a cement commercial ‘Bhaiya ye deewar girti kyu nahi’ with a caption: “Happy birthday to the batter who made bowlers feel this.”
