Shillong, June 20: With the new KHADC chief Pyniaid Sing Syiem assuming charge on Tuesday, all the three Councils are under the NPP regime supported by coalition partners.
Besides KHADC, NPP is leading the executive committees of GHADC and JHADC.

KHADC and JHADC will go to polls early part of next year and the NPP MDCs consider the the change of guard will be a boost as the elections are just eight months away.
Syiem was elected unopposed in the House after the Executive Committee led by Titosstarwell Chyne (UDP) was toppled with the support of six Congress MDCs on Monday.
