Shillong, Oct 9: There are 168 primary schools in the state with less than 10 students and the enrollment is the same in 101 Upper Primary Schools.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Education Minister Rakkam Sangma said the data of the union ministry is very alarming and asured that several steps will be taken to improve the education scenario.

To a question, he said the education commission is on the job to address all issues concerning the education scenario in the state.
