Shillong, Feb 8: The working president of Meghalaya State Olympic Association, John Kharshiing informed that athletes selected under State Sports Talent Identification Programme 2022 will undergo one year training.
Addressing reporters on Wednesday, he said the initial training was conducted under the STAR programme Phase-I in July last year by the Meghalaya State Olympic Association and Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs in all the Districts of Meghalaya.
As many as 200 participants from phase-I and 60 participants from Phase- II (Part- 1) from the state have been recommended for further training for a period of one year.
Kharshiing wanted the athletes who have not yet contacted the Meghalaya State Olympic Association/ District Sports Officer to immediately contact the office of their respective District Sports Officer or the office of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association, J.N Stadium,Shillong for further details from February 8 till February 14
