State BJP celebrates PM’s birthday

Shillong, Sep 17: The state BJP celebrated the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday.

The celebration started with cutting of a cake by National Vice President Chuba Ao. The event was attended by state & district office bearers, Mahila and Yuva Morcha members at the State BJP office here. Later, union minister Prahlad Patel joined the programme.

The BJP has already declared September 17 to  October 2 to serve the poor with schemes.

The prime minister has launched the new scheme for craftsmen and artisans called PM Vishwakarma on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti on Sunday. The scheme aims not only to help them financially by providing loans at a minimal interest rate but also to keep alive and enrich the tradition, culture, and versatile heritage of past centuries through local products, art and sculpture.

The scheme is funded by the Centre with an outlay of Rs 13,000 crore.

The national vice president Chuba mentioned as to how Modi dedicated his life for the people of the country. He said the prime minister’s vision is ‘leading us to be number one country’.

“Today, all top country leaders believe in  Modi”, he added.

Modi’s birthday was also  celebrated in different districts including Regional office Tura.
