Shillong, Feb 7: Altogether 379 candidates filed nomination papers for the February 27 Assembly polls.
The filing of nominations started on January 31 and ended on Tuesday.

According to the data released by the Chief Electoral Officer, Frederick Kharkongor, there are 342 male candidates and 37 female.
East Khasi Hills tops the chart with 102 candidates followed by West Garo Hills 65, Ri Bhoi 28, West Jaintia Hills 27, North Garo Hills 24, West Khasi Hills 21, South Garo Hills and East Garo Hills 16 each, South West Khasi Hills 14, South West Garo Hills 12, East Jaintia Hills 10 and Eastern West Khasi Hills 7.
There are no female candidates in West Jaintia Hills, West Khasi Hills, North Garo Hills and South Garo Hills.
