Shillong, Apr 12: Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC) on Friday sought a report from the state government regarding the killing of the labourer at Mawlai Mawroh on April 10.
“The Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC), Shillong, has taken suo motu cognizance pertaining to the killing of a daily wager in the city on Wednesday the 10th April 2024. The Commission has issued a notice to the Director General of Police, Meghalaya, to submit an Action Taken Report within 15 (fifteen) days”, said the secretary of the commission.
