Shillong,Feb 8: Congress legislator PT Sawkmie said since the BJP is not the main player in the MDA, there will not be any problem in supporting the government.
The BJP and the Congress have ideological differences in supporting each other.
However, Sawkmie told reporters that though the BJP and the Congress have their own respective ideologies, the Congress is working with the MDA and the BJP is not the main player.
He also said joining the government is for the good of the people of respective constituencies.
“If we don’t support each other, we will be the losers as far as the development of the constituencies is concerned”, he said.
He also pointed out that there are other political parties like the AGP supporting the BJP-led government.
“Even in our state, the regional parties are supporting the government”, Sawkmie said.
