Jaishankar, Blinken discuss strengthening cooperation in Indo-Pacific
Melbourne/New Delhi, Feb 11 (UNI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday held bilateral talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Melbourne during which the two discussed strengthening their cooperation in the Indo-Pacific bilaterally and through the Quad.
EAM S Jaishankar in a tweet said the two sides held a review of their bilateral cooperation and that the strategic partnership has deepened very visibly.
“A review of our bilateral cooperation with @SecBlinken. The readout on progress in different domains was positive. Our strategic partnership has deepened so visibly,” he said.
Blinken in a tweet said the two held a good meeting to discuss efforts to strengthen their cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and that he looks forward to working together on issues that affect both countries.
“Good meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar to discuss efforts to strengthen #IndoPacific cooperation bilaterally and through the Quad. I look forward to working together on issues that affect our two countries.”
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the Fourth Quad Foreign Ministers meeting in Melbourne.
