Shillong, March 11:The differed election to Sohiong is likely to be held in April, an official said.
According to the official, the announcement of the date may come along with the date of Karnataka Assembly polls.

The tenure of Karnataka Assembly ends in May.
The election in Sohiong Assembly constituency was deferred following the death of UDP candidate HDR Lyngdoh on February 20.
The UDP Sohiong Block had recommended Synshar Lyngdoh, who is the nephew of HDR Lyngdoh, to contest the seat.
Samlin Malngiang is the NPP candidate.
