Shillong, May 27 (Agencies) : The Manipur government has issued an order suspending internet services in Manipur till May 31 in the wake of fresh incidents of violence over the demand for ST status by the Meiteis.
The order was issued by commissioner (Home) H Gyan Prakash that ordered further suspension of mobile data services, internet, data services including broadband services and internet and data services through VASTs of Bharatnet Phase-II is further suspended in the territorial jurisdiction of the state of Manipur. The order will be effective till 3pm on May 31.
