Shillong, May 28: A taxi driver’s son made his parents and teachers of a city school happy by securing 17th position under top 20 in SSLC, 2023 examination.
Nishan Talukdar from St.George Secondary School, Nongmynsong scripted the success story despite the poor family background.

Principal of the school Simon Joseph expressed happiness over the success.
The topper admitted the hardships at home as his father, being a taxi driver, has to struggle to sustain the family.
He wants to pursue higher studies at Laban Bengalee Higher Secondary School .
