Shillong, June 22: The poultry association has allayed fears of consumption of poultry products in the state.
All Meghalaya Poultry Supplier and Retailer Association has also condemned the social media posts spreading misinformation regarding bird flu.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, the joint secretary of the association, Basham Syiem said the matter was discussed with the police.
“We reiterate that there is no harm in consuming poultry products’, Syiem said, urging the people to ignore unverified social media posts.
