Shillong, Aug 24: The MPYC general secretary Junebirth C. Marak has alleged discrimination against Garo job seekers in the health department.
In a statement, Marak pointed out that on Wednesday, the result for MLHP (Mid Level Health Provider) was declared on NHM( National Health Mission) official Website. The list of appointees were all non Garos, there was no single Garo name on the assigned post.
“Was IAS Ram Kumar (Director NHM) alone handling the process of appointment or was there someone besides him as a bigger in-charge? Who is accountable for the appointment made by the NHM department is it the Director or Committee or HM (Health Minister) ? he asked.
Marak wanted to know whether there was proper advertisement for the posts.
He alleged that the appointment is not in accordance with the accepted standard and the people are in the dark about the selection process of the appointment.
