WTC Final, Day 3: NZ bowl out India for 217 in 1st innings, Jamieson picks 5 wickets
Southampton, Jun 20 (UNI) Kyle Jamieson’s five-wicket haul (5/31) helped New Zealand bowl out India for 217 in their first innings on day three of the World Test Championship final, here on Sunday.
Resuming the day at 146 for three, India were bowled out in the 93rd over shortly after lunch.
Ravindra Jadeja was the last man to be dismissed on 15.
In the first session, Kohli could not add to his overnight 44, was trapped in front of stumps by Jamieson. Pant, on the other hand, played a loose drive to get caught at slip by Tom Latham.
Ajinkya Rahane (49 off 117) seemed to have got through a tough patch and played some good shots but threw his wicket away to be caught at square leg off Wagner.
R Ashwin chipped in with a valuable 22 off 27 in difficult conditions.
