Shillong, May 2: Miscreants torched a government vehicle in the city on Thursday evening.
Police said the Bolero (ML 01 A 0175) of the Water Resources department at Cleve Colony here was set ablaze. It was parked on the office premises.
The vehicle was totally damaged and it is suspected that the miscreants lobbed a petrol bomb from outside, the police added.
CRPF, Mawlai targeted
Police have recovered broken pieces of glasses from an area near CRPF building, Mawlai on Thursday morning.
Police suspect that the miscreants may have used a petrol bomb.
East Khasi Hills SP Rituraj Ravi said perpetrators involved in the petrol bomb attacks on police stations and other government properties are brought to justice.
“We are working overtime and we shall leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all perpetrators are brought to justice and that peace prevails,” Ravi told reporters.
