Bangladesh PM resigns, leaves country: Media reports
Dhaka, Aug 5 (UNI): Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is reported to have resigned and left the country, media reports said on Monday.
The Dhaka Tribune reported that she departed from her residence on Monday afternoon on a military helicopter.

She was accompanied by her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana as they left for a “safer place”, the report said.
Meanwhile, according to sources, they were heading to West Bengal, India.
Somoy News TV claimed Sheikh Hasina left the country after submitting her resignation to the country’s Army Chief.
Other Bangladesh media outlets also claimed that protesting students had entered the PM’s official residence.
