Shillong, Dec 19: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has passed a resolution asking the state government to seek views of stakeholders before implementation of the Meghalaya State Investment Promotion and Facilitation Act, 2024.
Tabling the resolution on Thursday, KHADC CEM Pyniaid Sing Syiem said, “The proposed amendment to the Meghalaya State Investment Promotion and Facilitation Act, 2024 which allow the IMA to purchase land and allot to the Investors will come into conflict with several provision of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District (Regulation and Administration of Land) Act, 2021 and will affect the sentiments of the general public at large.”
