Shillong, March 12: Police are keeping vigil after two incidents of arson were reported in the city on Wednesday.
A vehicle of Meghalaya Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation was torched by goons in the early hours in Nongmensong, while a private vehicle parked in Railway Guest House in Laban (in picture) was also targetted by them.
While the CCTV footage in Nongmensong shows an explosion after a biker threw a petrol bomb, there are no CCTVs in Railway Guest House which makes it difficult for the police to trace the miscreants.
The incidents occured after the talks between the government and the KSU on Investment Act failed.
Shillong City SP Dara Aswaghosh said the meeting convened by the SP with the officers-charge of police stations and the outposts discussed the law and order situation.
