Shillong, Oct 17: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) against Shillong ropeway project and for protection of Lum Shyllong set 10-day deadline for the government to scrap the plan.
The committee, mostly comprising women, took out a rally from Last Stop, Laban to the Sericulture Farm where the project starts.

After the peace march, the leaders announced the deadline of 10 days for the government to scrap the project .
The protestors are citing shortage of water and other environmental hazards.
Green Tech Foundation, activist Angela Rangad and former Chief Secretary Barkose Warjri extended support to the cause.
