Shillong, Oct 13:Tura BJP MDC Bernard Marak has claimed uranium ore extraction in the Garo Hills.
Speaking to reporters here, Marak pointed out that the extraction has been happening for a long time, and the ore was taken out and transported in vehicles.

He said the extraction is happening mostly in South Garo Hills.
According to Marak, this was reported to the Centre and also forms part of his report on mining activities in Meghalaya submitted to the central government.
