Shillong, Feb 11: Students across the city rejoiced as the SSLC examinations concluded on Wednesday.
While most of the students want to enjoy the first few days after the board examinations, some, like Phidarishisha Kharkongor, want to spend the time upskilling themselves.
“I have to help with the household chores, and of course, I want to finish my computer course during this time,” said Kharkongor, who has decided to take up Arts subjects in the higher secondary classes.
For Thaja Toijam, it is time to unwind after the long period of preparations. “I will go back and sleep,” she said. She had additional English on the last day and is planning to take up science for higher secondary.
However, the break is for a short period as most students have to start chalking out plans for admission and the career course ahead.
