Shillong, Feb 21: Senior journalist Syed Nazimur Rahman, who passed away in Laban here recently, contributed to the growth of journalism in Meghalaya.
His well-wishers and journalists, who knew him, conveyed condolences.

A resident of Jumor Lane in Laban, here 78-year-old Rahman was a senior correspondent with Eastern Panorama.
He had also worked with Meghalaya Guardian.
Rahman had joined the SOS Children’s Villages Organisation.
With an MA in history background, Rahman, a multi-talented personality, was a guitar player for Bhupen Hazarika for a couple of uncredited records, besides being a singer, athlete and cricketer till the late 40s and early 50s.
