Blind footballer from state in India team for Asian c’ship in Japan
Shillong, Feb 22: Klingson D. Marak, a blind footballer from Meghalaya, will represent the state in the Indian team for the Asian Blind Football Championship in Japan.
Marak is a celebrated blind footballer from South West Garo Hills and is often called the ‘Blind Messi of India’.

Besides Marak, Boje Marbom from Arunachal Pradesh is another player from the North East in the Indian team.
The championship is in April, and the first match between India and Japan is on April 19.
