Shillong, March 9: Former MLA/MDC Esmatur Mominin was prevented from filing nomination papers on Monday at the office of the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner
Filing of nominations to the GHADC polls started on Monday.

Mominin, who came to the DC’s office around 10 am, was planning to file nominations to contest as an Independent candidate.
An official said protestors manhandled Mominin, resulting in tension in Tura.
When contacted, the SP said he would not be able to speak as he is trying to control the situation.
