Shillong, April 11: The state BJP is pursuing the amendments to the Foreign Contributions Regulation Act (FCRA).
Christian institutions and missionaries are affected by the amendments as foreign contributions are monitored.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, the state BJP chief spokesperson M Kharkrang said that the BJP AL Hek had already taken up the matter with the Central leadership.
Earlier, during the event to felicitate achievers, Hek announced that the party is against amendments.
According to Kharkrang, wider consultations are needed before passing the amendments.
