Shillong, May 25: Two-wheeler taxi aggregators should register with the District Transport Office to operate.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, Commissioner & Secretary in-charge of transport Sanjay Goyal said they need to obtain licenses before operating.
The government warned of strict action against those running services illegally.
He said enforcement drives against illegal operators had already been carried out.
Umiam bridge
The height restriction on the Umiam Bridge will not be lifted, as it is needed to protect the bridge and dam structure in the long run.
Goyal said the alternate bridge was built specifically to address this concern.
Additional transformers
More than 2000 additional transformers will be installed across the state to make power supply more reliable and address persistent low-voltage situation.
“We are putting in the entire state more than 2000 additional transformers, so that the supply is more reliable, it is more robust, Goyal said.
