CM’s football fan-park for FIFA World Cup 2026 in Polo

Shillong, June 24: The Government of Meghalaya has announced the ‘Chief Minister’s Football Fan-Park’ for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Set in the heart of Shillong at the S.R.G.T Parking Lot in Polo.

The venue is set to provide an unparalleled shared viewing experience, highlighting the state’s commitment to fostering a passionate and rapidly growing football culture.
The fan park will be inaugurated on Friday, (June 26). Fans can gather to watch live matches on the big screen in a vibrant and festive atmosphere. To ensure the best possible experience for attendees, screenings will be exclusively dedicated to fixtures scheduled at fan-friendly hours, specifically the matches kicking off at 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM, and 12:30 AM.
Adding to the electrifying environment, the venue will feature special match-day performances by Chief Minister’s Meghalaya Grassroots Music Program (CM-MGMP), blending sports and entertainment into a month-long celebration.
Entry to the Chief Minister’s Football Fan-Park is completely free of charge, ensuring that the thrill of the World Cup is accessible to everyone in the community. Citizens and visitors are warmly encouraged to join the festivities and be part of this ultimate state-led football celebration in Shillong.
