“BSF personnel shifted him to NEIGRIHMS where he is undergoing treatment,” Syiem said.
Later on Monday morning, the police were informed about a body found with stab wounds in Mawkasiang.

The deceased has been identified as Shanbor Rani, who had prior criminal records.

“The deceased was previously involved in several cases, including murder and offences under the NDPS Act, Syiem said.
To a question on the motive, the SP said,
“At this stage we cannot confirm the motive. It could be related to drugs or a vendetta. The investigation will reveal why Shanbor Rani was killed”.
Police said that a vehicle recovered from the spot belonged to Rani.
