Sivasagar, Aug 2: Writer and Vaishnavite Scholar Arup Saikia has launched an anonymous charity in flood affected areas of upper Assam. It’s done by the team members of Prajanmya Unmesh, a socio-cultural organisation based in Assam.
Sivasagar and nearby districts have faced the worst flood in 50 years owing to heavy rainfall in neighbouring Nagaland. Saikia urged everyone to become partners in this noble humanitarian effort and support flood-affected people with generosity, humility, and respect.
