Shillong, Aug 13: Cabinet has approved the draft resolution against mining of uranium in the state.
Briefing reporters after the cabinet meeting on Thursday (August 13), Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the decision was made as the ordinance on language approved by the government has only six month-validity and it has to be approved by the Assembly.

The resolution will be moved in the upcoming autumn session of the Assembly, beginning on August 24.
