ACHIK wants roster meeting for region’s stakeholders in Tura
Organisation for discussion on winter capital in meeting
Shillong, May 28: The A·chik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima (ACHIK) has rejected the invitation on Reservation Roster scheduled on May 31 in Shillong.
The ACHIK said in a statement on Sunday that the venue for the Reservation Roster for the A·chik stakeholders should be in Tura, as Tura has been the capital for A·chik people.

The organisation also asked the government to include Winter Capital/Second Capital in Tura as another agenda for talks as negligence ‘seems to be whitewashing the interests of the A·chik community of Meghalaya as well’.
The organisation also referred to the statement of Chief Minister on May 3 that he is ready to hold talks with all stakeholders in every district, and the organisation duly trusts his words.
