AITC alleges protocol violation by Conrad

Shillong, Jan 16: The AITC on Sunday alleged that the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is putting  people’s lives at risk by organising  a cricket tournament where, according to the party,  Covid -19 protocols were not followed.

In a tweet, the AITC Meghalaya said over 250 people gathered at the police parade ground in Tura and  almost all of them were without masks.

“Such irresponsibility is unacceptable” the AITC said.

‘This carelessness by the chief minister is utterly shameful  However, it was not the first time that the chief minister was seen to be flouting COVID protocols”, the party said.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Sangma flouted precautionary measures on his visit to Batabari village under Rajabala constituency where a large gathering was held in the presence of newly elected NPP legislator Abdus Saleh, it added.
