Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan opens libraries & teacher felicitation centre
Shillong, Sept 8: Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan opened libraries and teacher felicitation centre on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
The Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan, Meghalaya Prant, organised a special event that combined the inauguration of two libraries and the felicitation of dedicated teachers. The event took place at the Meghalaya Hindu Mission Children’s Home and the Parth Sarthi Mandir, highlighting the Sammelan’s dedication to education and community service.
The first part of the event saw the inauguration of a library at the Hindu Mission School , aimed at enriching the lives of the children residing there by providing access to educational resources. The new library will offer a wide range of books, from academic texts to storybooks, ensuring a nurturing environment for the children’s overall development.The inauguration function was also attended by the children of Hindu Mission School.
The second inauguration was for a religious library at the Parth Sarthi Mandir, which will serve as a resource for devotees and scholars alike. The library, filled with scriptures and religious texts, aims to support spiritual learning and promote religious awareness among the community.
During the executive meeting held after the ceremony, the President of Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan, Meghalaya Prant, expressed her gratitude to the members for their dedication and hard work . “The role of a teacher in society is unparalleled,” she said.
