Angela seeks Lokayukta help on politicians’ assets declaration
Shillong, May 16: Social activist and member of the Thma U Rangli Juki (TUR) has sought information from the Meghalaya Lokayukta about the assets owned by public representatives in the state.
In a letter submitted to the Lokayukta chairperson on Monday, Rangad said, “I would like to access the annual return of assets by the Public Servants and their spouses and dependent children Meghalaya as mandated by law from the time of operationalisation of the law, Meghalaya Lokayukta Act, 2014.

According to Section 45 (1) of the act, “Every public servant shall make a declaration of his assets and liabilities in the manner as provided by or under this Act”.
