The president of the Union Mirajune Myrsing said, “We have decided to call off our agitation and resume work with immediate effect.”

“However, we are yet to take a call on whether to accept or reject the government’s offer to enhance the fixed incentive by Rs 1,000. This is because the union has decided to wait for the government to constitute the committees at the district level to examine our demand.”

Myrsing said the meeting of the union has also resolved to give three months’ time to the government to constitute these committees for implementation of the new scheme.
