Assam Cong wary of CM’s part in Naga talks
Guwahati, Sept 21 (UNI): The Assam Congress on Tuesday questioned Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s involvement in the Naga peace process.
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Bhupen Kumar Borah said the Centre should clarify at what capacity Biswa has been involved in the peace talks in Nagaland.

“As the chief minister of Assam Sarma can hold talks with NSCN (IM) without discussion in the state Assembly. The NSCN (IM) has been demanding ‘Greater Nagalim’ and for all we know it is supposed to include parts of Assam,” Bora said.
He added that the Congress is committed to keeping its state intact and urged the Centre to make public the details of Naga Framework Agreement signed between the Center and NSCN (IM) in 2015.
