Shillong,May 22: The dome of under- construction Assembly building, Mawdiangdiang collapsed around 12.15 am on Sunday.
However, nobody was working when the incident took place.

The labourers were working till 9.pm on Saturday.
According to the contractor from UP Nirman Nigam Limited, the damage is only to the dome and not to the right wing or left wing of the Assembly.
The work for the dome started two months back by using a crane brought from outside the state.
The cost of the first phase is Rs 141 crore.
