Shillong, Nov 29: Former Speaker and Congress leader AT Mondal resigned from the Congress on Tuesday.
Mondal, who had represented Phulbari constituency till 2018, sent his resignation letter to MPCC president Vincent Pala.

According to sources, Mondal may join the NPP .
When asked, he said, ‘I will let you know first week of December”.
The sources added that since the present Phulbari MLA Esmatur Mominin from the NPP will not be given party ticket, the NPP may offer ticket to Mondal to contest the 2023 Assembly polls.
