Bangladesh Airforce’s aircraft crash kills 18

Shillong, July 21: At least 18 people died when a Bangladesh airforce’s aircraft crashed in Dhaka on Monday (in picture from X by @DeeptiSachdeva_).
The aircraft, F-7 BGI, crashed into a school campus in north Dhaka, moments after it took off. More than 100 people were injured.
The incident happened around 1.30 pm. Among the dead were students. The Daily Star reported that Flight Lieutenant Mohammad Towkir Islam Sagar, attempted “to steer the FT-7 BGI fighter aircraft away from densely populated areas and toward a sparsely inhabited zone, according to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR)”.
