B’desh-origin man gets 2nd term as advisor to Irish ministry

Shillong, May 20: The Ireland government has reappointed Shajedul Chowdhury Rubel, a poet and author from Bangladesh, as a member of the advisory committee on SPSVs, the Ministry of Transport.

This is Rubel’s second term as a member of the committee. According to the official letter by the Ministry of Transport, Ireland, “the Committee would benefit greatly from your continued membership”.


The second term will be from May 3, 2024, to May 2, 2027.

Rubel has been staying in Ireland with his family for the last 25 years. He is originally from Netrakona district of Bangladesh. He is the only member of foreign origin on the committee.
