Bharat Vikas Parishad, Brahmaputra Branch inaugurated

Shillong, Feb 23: The Bharat Vikas Parishad has started a new branch, which was inaugurated on February 20.
The installation ceremony of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Brahmaputra Branch, in Guwahati were attended by Vikramananda Maharaj, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Guwahati, Prof. Debabrata Das, Advisor, Higher Education, Government of Assam, and Prof. Ashish Mukherjee, Director, IASST, Guwahati.
During the ceremony, members took an oath to be committed to the ideals of “Sampark, Sahayog, Sanskar, Sewa, and Samarpan”. Dr. Saibal Sengupta and Dr. Jayaditya Purkayastha assumed charge as President and Secretary, respectively, of the new branch.
More than 100 children studying at Ramakrishna Mission, Guwahati, were provided breakfast, and stationery items were distributed among the in-house students.
