Shillong, Sept 5: NPP leader Prestone Tynsong said the BJP is free to leave the MDA but it is too late.
“The stand of MDA government under the leadership of Conrad Sangma and my stand is very clear that if the BJP wants to pull out of the MDA government, we welcome that but it seems it is already late,” the deputy chief minister told reporters on Monday in response to the move of the BJP to withdraw support to NPP.
He also termed as political gimmick the statement of the BJP leader in-charge Meghalaya Chuba Ao that within a month, the party will take a call to pull out of the MDA.
BJP using ED, CBI
In response to the stand of Ao about bringing in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to go against the MDA government to probe corruption cases, Tynsong said this proves that the BJP is using them as political tools.
“It seems that the BJP now prove very clearly as alleged by AAP, be it TMC they are using the ED or CBI as their political tool,” Tynsong added.
