BJP MLAs want action against party leaders fromTura
Shillong, June 24: The two BJP MLAs-AL Hek and Sanbor Shullai have demanded action against president and members of the party’s Tura City District for attacking the Meghalaya-charge, Chuba Ao, who is also the BJP national vice president.
The joint statement issued by the BJP MLAs and council member Bashailang Khongwir said the derogatory statement made against the national vice president by the Tura City District president and other members needs to be condemned.
“All persons involved in this derogatory act should be expelled immediately as the allegations are a figment of their wild imagination,” the party leaders said.
The BJP MLAs asked the state president to intervene.
Earlier, some Tura BJP leaders had questioned the appointment of Akki A Sangma as chief advisor to the KHADC CEM Benedic Marak as according to them, Akki is not qualified to hold the post.
The District President of BJP Tura City, Daulhat Chada Marak, BJYM President of Tura City District, Anesh M Sangma and District Secretary of BJP Tura City, Wilver Danggo had stated quoting the CEM that Akki Sangma was appointed on the direction of Chuba Ao, with the sole motive to get money from the Centre.
