Shillong, Sept 2: Blind Lead Trust is raising Rs 5 lakh through crowd funding on ImpactGuru.com to provide with knowledge and training for the visually impaired people.
In a statement, the Blind Lead Trust said it is committed to provide computer training, Android phone training, skill development, counselling, and others for the empowerment of the visually impaired.
“Blind Lead Trust has always focused to develop and educate the visually impaired and help them choose their own paths. We aim to save the life of 30 visually handicapped people who have been severely affected by the crisis. We will make sure that the generosity of all the helping hands that donated funds on ImpactGuru.com will be used for the ones who really need help. We as a small organisation need support from all our citizens in order to complete our own duty truly to support our blind friends who cannot afford their education and other needs,” said Jitendra Dkhar the Director of Blind Lead Trust.
In the pandemic situation, the visually impaired face difficulties like stress, livelihood and financial issues.
Some of Blind Lead Trust objectives include establishing training centers for skill development for blind and low vision persons and enabling them to get trained for self-employment and other livelihood-related activities.
