Shillong, April 30: The body of Nongpoh student who was found dead at the hostel of Mody University in Rajasthan, was brought to her village at Marngar, on Sunday.
Ri Bhoi SP Giri Prasad said that the SP of the respective district in Rajasthan is in touch with him and the nature of the probe will depend on the post mortem report .
Police said the 18-year-old girl identified as Walinda was found hanging at the hostel.
A case under under CrPC section 174 ( unnatural death) was registered by the police at Laxmangarh police station, Sikar district of Rajasthan.
The Ri Bhoi SP said even if it is a suicide case, the reason which compelled her to take the extreme step should be probed.
