Shillong, Sept 28: The Border Security Force (BSF) has apprehended 19 Bangladeshi nationals, including women and children, along the international border in East Khasi Hills district.
Acting on intelligence, BSF was alert along the unfenced border under BOP Rynkhua since Monday. Among the apprehended were two middlemen, Mijan Miya (46) and Md Rubel (20), who were helping the others to cross over.

All the 19 are residents of Sunamganj district, Bangladesh.
Interrogation revealed that the middlemen were taking them to Kashmir to work as labourers.
The custody of the citizens of Bangladesh was handed over to police.
