BSF hands over two entrants to BGB
Shillong, Nov 22: The BSF Shillong has handed over two Bangladeshi nationals to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
The duo had come to international border for sightseeing and inadvertently entered into Indian territory in South Garo Hills district on November 20. They were apprehend by the BSF.
They have been identified as Md Akhter Ujjaman(43), s/o Late Mohar Ali, village- Mukhtir Kasandi, PS- Matlab, Dist- Chandpur, Bangladesh and Md Amirul Islam, (18), s/o MD Kalam, village- Raipur, Dhobaura, Dist Netrakona.
Public Relations Officer of BSF, said the BSF always adopts a humanitarian approach in cases of inadvertent crossing by people, including minors. Both the border guarding forces have developed an understanding on such subjects and these issues are amicably resolved to strengthen the existing relationship and to enhance mutual trust between both the neighboring countries, the statement added.
